An adventurer, he and his wife cruised the South Pacific in their yacht, Dawn-Breaker,for almost six years. He and his wife taught virtues with music duringa thirty-nine-year labor of love at three public schools in New Zealand,for which they received the 2009 Queen's Service Medal for Service to Music.
