Bobby Sherman, the velvet voiced teen idol who became more.

Beginning in 1962 Robert Cabot Sherman Jr. of Van Nuys, California began trying to melt the hearts of 1960's youth under the name of Bobby Sherman. With singles like "Goody Galum-Shus" b/w "Anything Your Little Heart Desires" and "Judy, You'll Never Know (I'll Never Tell You)" b/w "The Telegram" he set out. However, it wasn't until the 1965 single "It Hurts Me" b/w "Give Me Your Word" which reached # 118 on Billboard's Bubbling Under chart before he made any inroads and the 1969 single "Little Woman" b/w "One Too Many Mornings" which shot up to # 3 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart before he reached his destination. "Little Woman" earned Bobby a Gold record for sales of over 1,000,000 copies.

Over the next three years Bobby enjoyed a number of chart topping singles such as, "La La La (If I Had You)" b/w "Time" which reached # 9 on the Billboard Hot 100, "Easy Come, Easy Go" b/w "Sounds Along the Way" # 9 Billboard Hot 100, "Julie, Do Ya Love Me" b/w "Spend Some Time Lovin' Me" # 5 Billboard Hot 100. 1971's "Cried Like a Baby" b/w "Is Anybody There" was Bobby’s final Top 20 Billboard Hot 100 entry peaking at #16.

It had been just prior to the run of hits that Bobby set hearts aflutter on television alongside another future teen-idol, David Soul, on "Here Come The Brides" for the ABC TV network.

In this biography Daniel Selby maps out the history of Bobby Sherman and gives some insight into the man behind the hit records. Included is a complete US discography.

“I am lucky to have been able to make music all of my life. I understand its power to connect with your true self: your mind, your heart, and who you really are. When you have music in your soul, you’re never alone.”

~Bobby Sherman
