BearManor Media News

I had a blast at Nickel City Comic Con last June! I sold some books, got my first con experience, and talked up BearManor Media whenever possible. There was a group of professional Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cosplayers, and they had the fun idea of coming behind my table and taking a picture - they even pointed to the Dance of the Comedians sign! So now you have a BearManor author officially endorsed by the Ninja Turtles. :D

"Apel has written a fast-moving, entertaining novel Wood fans will devour like a fine dinner with great dessert. But even those not aware of Wood’s career can enjoy the novel if they come across it. It’s an interesting tale of a young, penniless writer living essentially by his wits, grabbing the only job he can snag. And this writer finds a kind of mentor, old and weak, but with a backstory that turns out to be so interesting."— Doug Gibson, The Moderate Voice

"The period covered here is expertly done and an absolute must for Marx fans.  It is also highly recommended for anyone interested in advertising history."- James Neibaur, author of The Mae West Films
