PLEASE NOTE: If you need an item quick, don't order from us; amazon is your best bet. We do appreciate you ordering from us directly (the author and the publisher make more from the sale this way), but due to the increased number of orders and covid-related shipping changes, our shipping takes considerably longer than it used to. Please be patient, as it can take 2 to 3 weeks to process and ship orders. Please email us about an order only if it's absolutely necessary. We REALLY appreciate your patience for this, and appreciate your business! THANK YOU!

Peggy Adler will give a talk on 4/23 about Carmichael, Jack Benny's Fictional Polar Bear

Come join me on April 23rd at 2:00pm, when I give a talk about Carmichael, (the fictional polar bear who lived in the basement of Jack Benny's Beverly Hills home), who was portrayed by Mischka, one of the Emil Pallenberg's Wonder Bears in the movie, "Buck Benny Rides Again". Emil Pallenberg and his Wonder bears lived and trained on North High Street in Clinton, CT. The talk will be at 284 West Elm Street, Deep River, CT and is open to the public for free. To attend, register by calling 860-767-2302. Accompanying me will be Dibirma Jean Burnhamm, the Pallenberg's granddaughter, who was an infant when Emil retired in 1953. Following my talk, the two of us will happily answer your questions.
